Facing off against the Collector in Darkest Dungeon can be a daunting task, but with the right approach, it's definitely doable. The key is to manage your character's turns effectively and put out enough damage to break through his defenses and healing.

One of the biggest challenges is dealing with the Collector's ability to summon guards and heal himself. It's crucial to take him down quickly before he can get settled into a rhythm. My strategy involves getting him down to 30-60% health on his first turn, which gives me more time to focus on damaging him.

It's also essential to prioritize stunning the Collector on round one before he makes a Collect Call. This allows my characters to focus on taking him down without interruptions. With my party setup, I had my Arbalest mark the Collector and then let her and my HWM go all out on him while my MaA stunned enemies or protected our damaged Vestal.

It's easy to get sidetracked by attacking the Collector's summons, but this can ultimately lead to your downfall. Instead, it's best to focus on disabling his summons while dealing massive damage to him. By doing so, I've found that I can take him down without too much trouble.
